extra special by making a homemade one. Collect scrap material from
around the house and get ready to be creative!
Homemade Valentine’s Card
Supplies Needed:
- Scrap materials (paper, magazines, food wrappers, ribbon, fabric, etc.)
- Glue or tape
- Scissors
- Marker (Optional)
Instructions:
- Using a large piece of scrap paper, fold or cut into desired shape (ex: rectangle, heart, circle, etc.)
- Glue or tape other scrap materials on front as desired
- Cut out letters from magazines or newspapers and use to make words to glue on your Valentine
- Or use a marker to write your Valentine a note
- Set out to dry

Valentine’s Mask
Supplies Needed:
- Popsicle stick
- Comics from the newspaper
- Scrap paper (construction paper, gift wrap, magazines, food labels, etc.)
- Glue or tape
- Scissors
- Marker
- Pencil
Instructions:
- Using a pencil, trace a heart (as big or bigger than your face) on a piece of scrap paper
- Cut out the heart
- Glue or tape the comics on top of the cutout heart
- Cut around the heart shape to get rid of the extra comics
- Using a pencil, trace two eyes and a mouth on cutout heart
- Carefully cut out the shapes to create a mask
- Decorate mask by gluing on other scrap materials as desired
- Glue or tape popsicle stick on the back of the mask
- Let dry and enjoy!
